Meniscus Lens

Meniscus lenses—with their distinctive convex-concave design—excel at minimizing spherical aberration while controlling light convergence or divergence. Positive meniscus lenses focus parallel light into tight spots (convex side toward the source) or, when paired with other optics, shorten focal lengths to boost numerical aperture (NA). Conversely, negative meniscus lenses (thinner at the center) diverge light and are often combined with other lenses to lengthen focal distances and reduce NA. Ideal for precision systems requiring aberration correction and tailored light manipulation.
